Here we go again…No, that is not cynicism, I am always ready to see America’s favourite son on the big screen. Whilst Cavill and Routh may not have reached the box office peaks of Reeve, they both put their unique stamp on the character. Now JJ Abram’s Bad Robot production company is set to bring Superman back to cinemas in a story written by acclaimed author Ta-Nehisi Coates, known for his works Between The World And Me and The Beautiful Struggle.
Coates commented : “To be invited into the DC Extended Universe by Warner Bros., DC Films and Bad Robot is an honour. I look forward to meaningfully adding to the legacy of America’s most iconic mythic hero.”
No director has been announced or an actor to take on the iconic role. What’s that Smallville dude up to these days? He’d probably be a little older, a little grizzled. Or you could always make the Nicolas Cage movie we always wanted. Dane DeHaan? Nick Jonas? Who do you want?
