When I talk about big movies that are important to me, I get nods whilst mentioning Jaws, or The Empire Strikes Back or Back To The Future, but when I mention Waterworld, most people laugh and go “no, really…” as if they have seen it and consider it a joke. But upon more questioning, I soon discover that a lot of people just think it is rubbish because of the terrible stories they have heard about it and the disappointing box office, that put it in the same box as Ishtar.
I on the other hand, have loved Waterworld since it’s original release. Literally, I saw it at the first performance on day one in 1995 and have been singing its praises ever since. But where is my super edition Blu-Ray? Oh, thanks to Arrow Video, HERE IT COMES!
There’s a book, a poster, lobby cards, a feature length documentary especially for this release and three different cuts of the main feature including the American TV version which runs an extra 40 minutes.

Give it to meeeeeeeee! Or, you know, I will buy it on December 10th.
