Walt Disney World is transforming the Downtown Disney area into Disney Springs, promising more dining, shopping and entertainment options. The area will include many flagship stores as well as the massive Disney emporiums that you would expect.
There are set to be one hundred and fifty places to visit whether you are looking to fill your face or pick up a new t-shirt. The area promises an even bigger World Of Disney store which is already the biggest Disney Store in the world. Sweet. Disney Springs should be ready to visit in 2016.
Disney’s Tom Staggs, the chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts, commented: “Disney Springs will be a timeless, vibrant place where Walt Disney World guests and local residents can relax, shop, dine and be entertained in an imaginative setting where they’ll instantly feel at home. Featuring distinctive brands, world-class restaurants and unforgettable entertainment, Disney Springs will be brought to life with the same focus on storytelling and attention to detail that goes into our theme parks, resorts and cruise ships, resulting in a welcoming space that only Disney could create.”
I think my favourite part of Downtown Disney was the shop that only sold Disney products for dogs and cats. Including Mickey Mouse ears and t-shirts. Brilliant! Pretty sure every cat in the world would disagree with me about that one.
